My Story
For most of my adult life, I’ve been deeply engaged in movements for social justice and ecological sustainability, rooted in the belief that a better world is possible. I’m a graduate student at Lenoir-Rhyne University and have lived in Asheville for over a decade. These mountains are my home, and I care about this community.
As a queer-affirming and sex-positive mental health counselor, I am capable of providing compassionate support for individuals navigating diverse identities and relationship structures, including monogamous, non-monogamous, and polyamorous dynamics. My lived experience with chronic pain and anxiety informs my empathetic approach to therapy, and I’ve been working in the mental health field since 2022.
I approach my work with the lens of neurodiversity. I believe every individual’s experience is unique, valid, and deserving of care and respect.
If we work together, our sessions will be:
Personal: You’ll have space to share your story. Together, we’ll explore patterns, behaviors, and values that shape your experiences, beliefs, and decision-making.
Collaborative: We’ll partner your expertise on your own life and my therapeutic tools to co-create meaningful change.
Mindful: Mindfulness practices will help you develop awareness of your thoughts, feelings, sensations, and emotions.
Experiential: Using evidence-based techniques, we’ll explore the connection between mind and body, creating space to fully embrace and embody the present moment.
Goal-Oriented: We’ll define what you want to achieve and collaboratively map out the path toward your goals.
Whether you’re navigating pain, trauma, grief, anxiety, addiction, identity, relationships, or the search for meaning and purpose, I am here to honor your journey. I believe that with connection, time, and effort, the growth and transformation you seek are always within reach.
