My Story
I know how hard it can be to take the first step toward therapy. Whether you're wrestling with intrusive thoughts, struggling to offer yourself compassion, feeling overwhelmed by the echoes of trauma in your life, or consistently wondering "Will this ever get better?" - you’re not alone. I’ve spent the past few years of my professional life supporting clients in these spaces and personally know the courage it takes to reach out for support. That personal understanding shapes the way I show up for others.
I’m a master’s-level student in the final year of my graduate training, with several years of experience working in trauma-informed care. Before beginning my clinical work, I served in leadership roles at a dual-diagnosis treatment center supporting individuals navigating both substance use and trauma. There, I saw firsthand how healing happens through connection - and how relationships can be a powerful force in recovery.
Much of my work has centered around supporting individuals in crisis, whether through one-on-one connections, community interventions, or group facilitation. I’ve walked alongside people during moments of emotional overwhelm, helped build spaces rooted in safety and joy, and mentored staff working on the front lines of care. These experiences solidified my belief that shame begins to lose its power when we allow others to see the parts of ourselves we often try to hide. In short: healing begins with being seen.
My clinical approach is person-centered, grounded in empathy, authenticity, humor and a belief that every person already carries the tools they need to heal. I work with clients facing a range of challenges, including trauma, OCD, panic and anxiety disorders, substance use, self-harm, eating disorders, and relational struggles.
In addition to my core framework, I’ve received specialized training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) - two evidence-based approaches especially effective in treating intrusive thoughts, compulsions, and anxiety-related disorders.
Outside the therapy room, I’m a lifelong Asheville local who loves exploring the mountains with my dog Penny. I’m also a fan of thrift store treasure hunts, Marvel movie rewatches, fantasy novels, and a good podcast on a long walk.
If you're looking for a therapist who brings both clinical training and lived empathy to the work, I’d be honored to connect with you.
