My Story

Since middle school, I dreamed of either becoming a counselor or a musician. Music won first, and while it was extremely rewarding, the pressures of a nontraditional career affected my mental and physical health in ways I did not predict. This recognition ultimately led me to build a practice as a licensed massage therapist for many years, where I could create a space intended to support well-being for myself and others.

That journey eventually brought me back to my original dream. I'm now completing my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Western Carolina University, where I'm building on the life and professional experiences that continue to shape my work with clients.

Therapy with me is collaborative and grounded in curiosity and compassion. Together we'll explore not only what's happening in your thoughts, but how your nervous system, relationships, values, and life experiences shape the way you move through the world. I strive to create a space that is LGBTQIA+ affirming, sex-positive, body-neutral, trauma-informed, and welcoming to people of all identities and backgrounds.

Because of my bodywork background, I often incorporate nervous system regulation concepts, mindfulness, and body awareness into treatment alongside evidence-based counseling approaches. My work is rooted in person-centered therapy and informed by cognitive behavioral approaches and Internal Family Systems (IFS).

Regardless of the techniques we use, I believe the therapeutic relationship is what creates meaningful change. My goal is to help you feel understood, better know yourself, build resilience, and leave therapy with confidence in your own ability to navigate life's challenges.

Outside of counseling, you’ll find me tending a small and chaotic-looking garden, painting colorful scenery I’d like to be in, listening to music, swimming, and spending time in nature.

I specialize in:

  • Anxiety & stress

  • Depression

  • Life transitions & career development

  • Body image & identity development

  • LGBTQIA+ affirming care

  • Grief and loss

  • Creativity and self-expression.
