My Story
My name is Rebecca Pahoresky. I am a masters student of social work in my final year at Western Carolina University. I studied Social Work and Expressive Arts Therapy at Warren Wilson College and took a few years before starting my masters program to discern that this was my path as I worked in community mental health.
I aim to be my most authentic self in and out of sessions, and I hope to create a space where others can do the same. My personal mission is to empower and walk alongside individuals as they create and live their dream life. I strive to be open-minded and genuine when approaching anyone. I have years of experience working with children and families and look forward to applying that experience at Winter to Spring Wellness.
In my therapeutic work, I engage in collaborative, experiential approaches that meet clients where they are. Experiential therapy, including expressive arts and play, has been fun to engage with clients in my role. I am in the mindset that almost anything can become therapeutic when it is approached in a therapeutic way. I am drawn towards experiential practices that support clients through doing.
My job outside of work and internship is a Qualified Professional at RHA Health Services Intensive In-Home program, where I support children and families through high-stress seasons of life. Outside of work, I can be found doing art projects, spending intentional time with friends, traveling, going to renaissance faires, and finding the beauty in nature.
I specialize in:
Life Transitions
Children and Family
Expressive Arts Therapy
Experiential Therapy
