Concert and Event Anxiety

Closed group for 6 weeks

As a music lover myself, I value so much the magic that is in live shows. I also understand the struggles of being in a crowd, experiencing panic attacks in an unfamiliar environment, or feeling triggered by painful memories during something I enjoy so much. The purpose of this group is to create a safe environment for music lovers to connect, process anxieties and fears around going to events (whether it’s with company or alone), and to learn skills that will not only increase regulation in times of distress but re-integrate joy and fulfillment into the environment of live shows (or other events). Creative expression is an important value that deserves to be explored and nourished within us!

Led by Inglis Towe (she/her) I operate with an attachment and trauma-informed lens while also utilizing Person-Centered Therapy and Internal Family Systems to explore the roles we play in our dynamics and systems, to better understand and accept the emotions that may come up, and to practice being in the “here and now”. I believe in the importance of community and connection in recovery and healing. Some of the most empowering work can come from getting curious about our personal experiences and reclaiming autonomy to rewrite our own narratives and better align with our values..
