My Story

I’ve always been curious about people—how our experiences shape us and how we make sense of ourselves and the world around us. I believe healing begins when we feel seen, understood, and no longer have to carry everything alone. I come to this work as a mother of two, recovering perfectionist and adult only child from a family history of addiction and generational trauma. As someone who tried to carry everything on my own for years I have personally experienced the growth and healing possible when we allow others to carry the heavy things alongside us.

I earned my Master of Social Work from Boston College in 2017, with a focus on children, youth, and families. Throughout my career, I’ve supported adolescents, individuals, and families navigating mental health concerns, substance use, life transitions, and moments of crisis. I have worked in family programming in residential substance use treatment for 5 years, and previously held positions in high schools, hospitals and community crisis assessment serving a diverse population. I am a Licensed clinical social worker and Licensed clinical addiction specialist and I am LGBTQ+ affirming.

I’m trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), which plays a central role in my work. Through EFT, I help couples, families and individuals explore the emotions and attachment patterns beneath the surface and understand how these experiences influence the way they show up in their lives and with others.

I also bring an Internal Family Systems (IFS) informed perspective to therapy. I believe we all have different parts of ourselves that developed for a reason—often to protect or help us through difficult experiences. Together, we can approach those parts with curiosity and compassion, making space for greater self-understanding and healing.

Whether you’re navigating challenges in your partnership, parenting, a life transition, or your relationship with yourself, I aim to offer a space where you can show up as you are and explore what matters most. My style is warm, nurturing and direct with a dash of humor. If I feel like a fit, if you're curious, or if there's anything you're holding alone please reach out- I'd love the chance to know you and lighten the load.

I was born and raised in Asheville, these mountains and the people who call this area home have a special place in my heart. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my kiddos and husband, checking out live music, contra dancing, and exploring the latest restaurants."
